III The objects for which the company is established are: (a) To propagate the gospel of Jesus Christ according to the Scriptures. (b) To provide a clear Christian witness within the field of outdoor pursuits. (c) To provide in Glenshee Lodge a Christian Centre. (d) To purchase a feu, take on lease, receive as a gift or otherwise acquire the property known as Glenshee Lodge, by Blairgowrie, Perthshire, and any other land, buildings, property, rights or privileges which the company may think necessary or convenient for the promotion of its objects, and to furnish and equip any such property, and to use the same as a centre or centres for the advancement of Christianity in accordance with the objects of the company and to erect, alter, reconstruct and maintain any buildings, and to deal with and dispose of its property of whatever kind in such manner as the company may think fit. (e) In the event of the sale of any such land, buildings, property, rights or privileges as aforesaid, the proceeds of sale shall be used for and applied toward the advancement of Christianity throughout the world by such means being charitable as the company shall determine. (f) To carry on, by all such means as the council of Management of the company may deem fit, the advancement of Christianity and to do all such other lawful things as may be incidental or conducive to the attainment of the objects. Provided always that the company is established for charitable purposes only and its property and income shall be held and applied for those purposes only and all the objects and powers of the company as set forth in this Clause shall be construed as limited by the foregoing terms of this proviso which shall be treated as overriding in effect and as governing all the provisions of this Memorandum of Association notwithstanding anything expressed or implied therein to the contrary. (g) To receive donations, subscriptions, legacies and gifts of all kinds for the promotion of its objects, and to apply the same and all surplus income derived therefrom and from any other sources of income for the objects of the company, and to apply capital as well as income in forwarding the same. (h) To act either alone or jointly with any other person or body of persons as trustee of any property held for charitable purposes only and to undertake and execute any trusts which the company may lawfully undertake, and which may be conducive to its objects. (i) To employ with or without remuneration such officers, servants and other persons as the company may think fit, for the carrying out of its objects, and to establish and make payments for the provision of pension superannuation, and other benefits for persons who hold or have held appointments under the company. 0) To print, publish and distribute and assist in the printing, publishing and distribution of books, tracts, pamphlets and other writing calculated to further the objects of the company. (k) To invest any funds of the company not immediately required for the purpose of the company or held on special trust, or otherwise requiring investment, in and upon investments, securities and property as may be thought fit. (I) To borrow and raise money in such manner as the company shall think fit, and in particular by mortgages, debentures or debenture stock charged on any of the property, which the company may acquire. (m) To establish and support or aid in the establishment and support of any charitable associations or institutions, and to subscribe, donate or guarantee money for charitable purposes in any way connected with the purposes of the company or calculated to further its objects. (n) To amalgamate with or to affiliate to the company any charitable institution, society, mission, or association which has wholly or partially similar objects to those of the company and the constitution of which prohibits the payment of any dividend to its members.

From 09 March 2026, OSCR is required by law to publish the names of a charity’s trustees as part of its Scottish Charity Register entry. We are also required to publish each charity’s annual report and accounts as received from this date, which may include the names of certain individuals. The only exceptions to publication are where a charity or one of its charity trustees applies for this information to be excluded, and OSCR is satisfied that publishing it would jeopardise the safety or security of a person or premises.

If the charity trustee information on a Register entry appears blank, this may mean that an exemption applies or that the charity has not yet provided the required details to OSCR. Supplying this information will become mandatory as part of future annual submissions.

The Scottish Charity Register contains key information about a charity’s operations and finances. This includes:

  • the names of a charity’s trustees (exemptions apply)
  • its annual report and full accounts, if submitted after 9 March 2026
    (Accounts submitted prior to 9 March 2026 will be redacted, or may not be published, depending on the charity’s income level or legal form.)

These changes are designed to improve transparency across the charity sector in Scotland.
