The objective of the charity is to advance and promote the Christian Religion by: - organising conferences to provide education and instruction in Christian doctrine and principles and opportunity for discussion, fellowship and worship - providing at Whitchester accommodation, catering, care and counselling, so that rest, refreshment. healing, rehabilitation, restoration, in the context of Christian fellowship and community, may be given to anyone suffering from stress due to bereavement, overwork, marital breakdown or any other reason: - providing accommodation and catering for individuals seeking peace and solitude for worship, meditation and study, and for groups wishing to meet together to explore Christian faith and doctrine. We address these objectives by operating a Christian Centre at Borthaugh near Hawick. The house is open to anyone seeking to benefit from our objectives. We also organise various conferences and activities during the year.

From 09 March 2026, OSCR is required by law to publish the names of a charity’s trustees as part of its Scottish Charity Register entry. We are also required to publish each charity’s annual report and accounts as received from this date, which may include the names of certain individuals.     (Accounts submitted prior to 9 March 2026 will be redacted, or may not be published, depending on the charity’s income level or legal form.)

These changes are designed to improve transparency across the charity sector in Scotland.
