The Christie of Avochie Memorial Trustees shall, after paying all necessary expenses of the Trust, administer the Trust funds for the benefit of the Residents of the Alexander Scott Hospital in Huntly. 8. Without prejudice to the generality at Clause7 hereof the Christie of Avocha Memorial Trustees shall in implement of the foregoing purpose achieve my wishes by making disbursements to the Alexander Scott's Hospital Trustees to defray in full or in part the costs or maintaining and/or improving the facilities at, and/or the structure and equipment of the said Alexander Scott Hospital as well as the making of payments to said Hospital for the direct benefit or Residents and those who, but for lack of such direct help would have been prevented from becoming Residents.

From January 2026, OSCR will begin publishing annual reports and accounts in full online once they are received. This marks a change from the current approach, where OSCR publishes accounts for certain charities, depending on their legal form and income, with personal details redacted.

When a charity publishes its accounts on its website and has supplied us with a link, we have made this available. From late 2017, where the charity is a company, a registered social landlord or is also registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales, a link is provided to the relevant regulator’s website where the accounts are made available. We accept no responsibility for the functionality, accuracy, or content of external websites – if you experience a technical issue with an external link, you should contact the charity directly.

You have the right to the following information under section 23 (1)(a) and (b) of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005, from the charity direct:

  • a copy of the charity’s latest statement of accounts
  • a copy of the charity’s constitution.
