The objects for which the Association is established are:- A. To receive the whole of the undertaking of the Aberdeen And District Engineering Group Training Scheme together (without prejudice to the foregoing generality) with the whole of the assets, property and rights of the same, and to accept and undertake responsibility for the whole of the liabilities, debts and obligations of the same. B. To maintain, carry on and operate, either alone or in conjunction with any person, a Group Training Scheme or other Scheme in Scotland or elsewhere to promote and advance the theoretical and practical education and training (including such as is provided for under the Industrial Training Act 1964 as amended from time to time and any Act replacing the same) of person engaged in or intending to be engaged in whatever capacity in the engineering industry and in industry and commerce as those words are used in the said Act and in any Act replacing the same and, subject to the foregoing purposes, to extend the benefit of the educational and training facilities of the Association to Statutory Undertakings, other bodies and members of the public generally: And, for the foregoing purposes, but without prejudice to the same and to the generality thereof, to do all or any of the following:- C. To engage and dismiss teachers and technical staff either as headmasters, teachers, training officers, instructors and assistants and such other persons as may be found necessary in the conduct of the Scheme and that upon such terms and conditions of service as may be required from time to time.

What the charity is set up to do and how it does this:
The principal activity of the company for the period under review is to provide a quality engineering training facility for its clients. Tullos Training continues to be at the forefront of training provision offering an unrivalled service to its customers. Our aim is to identify needs, promote learning and provide excellent educational and vocational training to enable our customers to remain at the forefront of their business by ensuring trainees achieve the skills and competence levels demanded by their industry. Tullos Training specialises in the training of Modern Apprentices, with particular emphasis on the training of engineering and building services apprentices and it provides a comprehensive range of skills development and work related training opportunities. Its client base is drawn from the engineering, manufacturing and building services industries as well as the wider business community and general public.

From 09 March 2026, OSCR is required by law to publish the names of a charity’s trustees as part of its Scottish Charity Register entry. We are also required to publish each charity’s annual report and accounts as received from this date, which may include the names of certain individuals. The only exceptions to publication are where a charity or one of its charity trustees applies for this information to be excluded, and OSCR is satisfied that publishing it would jeopardise the safety or security of a person or premises.

If the charity trustee information on a Register entry appears blank, this may mean that an exemption applies or that the charity has not yet provided the required details to OSCR. Supplying this information will become mandatory as part of future annual submissions.

Charity accounts and constitution – what information do we publish?

The Scottish Charity Register contains key information about a charity’s operations and finances. This includes:

  • the names of a charity’s trustees (exemptions apply)
  • its annual report and full accounts, if submitted after 9 March 2026
    (Accounts submitted prior to 9 March 2026 will be redacted, or may not be published, depending on the charity’s income level or legal form.)

These changes are designed to improve transparency across the charity sector in Scotland.
