The Trustees shall hold the Trust Fund and the income thereof for the following purposes:- a) to pay or apply the same to inaugurate and/or assist either financially or in any other way any Scheme, purpose, society or object being charitable in law which may in any way advance the education and learning of the inhabitants of the Parish and village of Gargunnock, relieve the aged and poor inhabitants of said Parish and village, or which is otherwise beneficial to the inhabitants of said Parish and village in such proportions and manner as the Trustees shall from time to time in their absolute discretion think fit: notwithstanding the generality of the foregoing it is my wish but without imposing any binding obligation on the Trustees that, if they are acting under this sub clause, they should use the Trust Fund and the income thereof for the purposes listed in the First Schedule annexed and signed as relative hereto, and/or b) in such proportions and manner as the Trustees shall from time to time in their absolute discretion think fit, to pay or make over part or all of the to the National Trust for Scotland for Places of Historic Interest or Natural Beauty incorporated in terms of the National Trust for Scotland Order Confirmation Acts 1935 to1973, and/or to any other organisation or organisations with charitable status, it being my hope that the Trustees will select a charity which allows Gargunnock House and Estate to be used for the benefit and enjoyment of the public.

From April 2016 we began to publish charities’ accounts, initially for those charities with an annual income of £25,000 or more, and for all SCIOs.

When a charity publishes its accounts on its website and has supplied us with a link, we have made this available. From late 2017, where the charity is a company, a registered social landlord or is also registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales, a link is provided to the relevant regulator’s website where the accounts are made available. We accept no responsibility for the functionality, accuracy, or content of external websites – if you experience a technical issue with an external link, you should contact the charity directly.

You have the right to the following information under section 23 (1)(a) and (b) of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005, from the charity direct:

  • a copy of the charity’s latest statement of accounts
  • a copy of the charity’s constitution.
