The Trust Fund shall be held by us as aforesaid as Trustees (we and our Successors as Trustees of the Trust hereby declared being hereinafter referred to as "the Trustees") to pay or apply the Trust Fund for charitable purposes in connection with the advancement of, education and the relief of poverty in the manner hereinafter specified:- (First) the beneficiaries of the Trust Fund shall be girls and women of good character ordinarily resident in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland; (Second) the purposes of the Trust hereby constituted shall be to assist the beneficiaries to obtain general education and vocational training and thereby to assist the beneficiaries to become or to maintain themselves as self-supporting; (Third) such purposes may be achieved by (a) the making of grants or loans to or the sponsorship of beneficiaries and (b) the running of or the assistance in the running of educational and vocational training courses for the benefit of the beneficiaries.

From April 2016 we began to publish charities’ accounts, initially for those charities with an annual income of £25,000 or more, and for all SCIOs.

When a charity publishes its accounts on its website and has supplied us with a link, we have made this available. From late 2017, where the charity is a company, a registered social landlord or is also registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales, a link is provided to the relevant regulator’s website where the accounts are made available. We accept no responsibility for the functionality, accuracy, or content of external websites – if you experience a technical issue with an external link, you should contact the charity directly.

You have the right to the following information under section 23 (1)(a) and (b) of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005, from the charity direct:

  • a copy of the charity’s latest statement of accounts
  • a copy of the charity’s constitution.
