The Objects of the Society are to provide facilities for such forms of recreation and other leisure-time occupation as are conducive to the improvement of the conditions of living of the inhabitants of Bannockburn and the neighbourhood thereof within the Society's sphere of operations as defined from time to time and in particular (but not exclusively) such of the inhabitants as are members of the Mining Community provided that nothing herein contained shall authorise the application of the Property to purposes which are not in law charitable. The Society shall not be identified with any party or sect.
Operations:
What the charity is set up to do and how it does this:
Our plans for 2025 are to concentrate on the letting of our function halls for any type of event to include birthdays, wedding receptions, charitable fundraisers ect. The club continues to support elderly bingo twice a week, sponsoring two local darts teams, three local pool teams. Scottish darts and Scottish disabled darts use our function halls for there events, also, Wrestling and boxing events. Recently we have started to assist a new local business get up and running by purchasing the goods and services from them, which we feel is great for the local community. Our upgrading projects nearing completion are our last bar area and games room both due to finish in the very near future. From then we intend to move into the small function room which requires total refurbishment, which we think will have a positive effect on our hall hires.

From 09 March 2026, OSCR is required by law to publish the names of a charity’s trustees as part of its Scottish Charity Register entry. We are also required to publish each charity’s annual report and accounts as received from this date, which may include the names of certain individuals. The Scottish Charity Register contains key information about a charity’s operations and finances. This includes:

  • the names of a charity’s trustees (exemptions apply)
  • its annual report and full accounts, if submitted after 9 March 2026
    (Accounts submitted prior to 9 March 2026 will be redacted, or may not be published, depending on the charity’s income level or legal form.)

These changes are designed to improve transparency across the charity sector in Scotland.
