The objects of the Association shall be the promotion of the benefit and advancement of the education of the inhabitants of Carsphairn and its environs, including without prejudice to the foregoing generality: (1) collecting and exhibiting in an interpretation centre ("the centre") in Carsphairn, articles, objects and information relating to the history and social conditions of the Carsphairn district; (2) establishing a heritage trail to encourage visits to sites of special interest within the district; (3) holding lectures and slide and film shows on matters relating to the history and social conditions of the district.
