The Object of the Association is to advance the education of the General Public in matters pertaining to the prehistoric heritage of North East Scotland and to this end proposes:- (i) To educate the general public in respect of prehistoric sites and Neolithic, Bronze Age and Pictish stones in Grampian Region. (ii) To foster greater understanding and awareness of such sites and stones in Grampian Region among the public in general and among young people in particular both now and in the future (iii) To preserve such sites and stones in Grampian Region and improve access thereto by the public (iv) To promote research into such sites and stones in Grampian Region (v) To work and co-operate with Local Authorities and any other bodies, public or private, in the furtherance of the foregoing aims (vi) To raise money for the furtherance of the foregoing aims
