The objects of the Association are to provide money, food, invalid foods, fuel, clothing and other necesities, services, attentions and comforts not falling within the scope of such provisions as arte required to be made by the local and National Health Authority in the fulfilment of their Statutory duties under the National Health Service (Scotland) Act, 1947, and any subsequent legislation, for members of Aberfeldy and District Old People's Welfare Association and other sick and aged and necessitous persons normally resident within the District of Aberfeldy as hereinafter defined, and the benefits shall be provided by such methods and in such forms and amounts as the Committee in their sole discretion may think best which said District is defined as follows videlicet :-The Burgh of Aberfeldy; the Parish of Weem and that part of the Parish of Dull which includes Menzies Estate in Appin; the Grantully Estate, Killiechassie Estate j Edradynate and Cluny Estate; the East Soundry of Derculich which coincides with Parish of Weem; the Districts South of the Burgh in the direction of the' Braes of Moness; Loch Kennard; Gatehouse and West of the Burgh to Bolfracks House

From April 2016 we began to publish charities’ accounts, initially for those charities with an annual income of £25,000 or more, and for all SCIOs.

When a charity publishes its accounts on its website and has supplied us with a link, we have made this available. From late 2017, where the charity is a company, a registered social landlord or is also registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales, a link is provided to the relevant regulator’s website where the accounts are made available. We accept no responsibility for the functionality, accuracy, or content of external websites – if you experience a technical issue with an external link, you should contact the charity directly.

You have the right to the following information under section 23 (1)(a) and (b) of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005, from the charity direct:

  • a copy of the charity’s latest statement of accounts
  • a copy of the charity’s constitution.
