This article shall be interpreted as if it incorporated an over-riding qualification to the effect that, in any case in which an activity permitted under this article is in its nature capable of being carried on for a purpose which is not a charitable purpose, the powers of the company shall be deemed to be limited to the carrying on of such activity in such manner as will not prejudice the charitable status of the company. From late 2017, where the charity is a company, a registered social landlord or is also registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales, a link is provided to the relevant regulator’s website where the accounts are made available. You have the right to the following information under section 23 (1)(a) and (b) of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005, from the charity direct:

  • a copy of the charity’s constitution.
