The organisations purposes are to advance the care, support and training needs of adults (aged 16 and over) resident on the islands of Barra and Vatersay (hereafter named as Barra) with physical disabilities, learning disabilities, mental health problems and substance misuse problems. The organisation will also work to advance the care, support and training needs of visiting adults with assessed care needs from surrounding islands and mainland UK. The purposes and aims of the organisation will be met via the provision of supported access to a therapeutic market garden site and service user led cafe and opportunities therein. This provision will enable adults with care needs to develop, via training and support, garden and cafe based work skills and to benefit from social interaction with peers, staff, volunteers and members of the public. In pursuance of the objects, the organisation will aim: 1. To enable the provision of a broad based service offering: therapy; support; skills training; and social interaction, to the full range of social care groups resident on the island of Barra. 2. To provide relief for carers and opportunities for volunteers through the provision of purpose 5.1. 3. The organisation will operate from its base in Northbay, Isle of Barra and will achieve its purposes through projects relating to horticulture and the environment; a service user led cafe; involvement in community events; and therapeutic activities including arts, crafts, music and storytelling. 4. To provide the services outlined above to adults with assessed care needs who are visiting Barra for the purpose of respite.

You have the right to the following information under section 23 (1)(a) and (b) of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005, from the charity direct:
