Charity trustee resignation

A charity trustee can resign at any time, but the resignation must be in writing and properly recorded. The charity’s governing document may also outline specific procedures that must be followed when a charity trustee steps down.

If a charity trustee becomes disqualified, they must stop acting as a charity trustee immediately and resign.
