Charitable purposes 4 The organisation is established for charitable purposes only, and in particular, the objects are: 4.1 To advance the education of people with learning difficulties in work and life skills by the provision of training in order to increase their employability and quality of life. 4.2 To advance the education of the public in the use of Information Technology by the provision of equipment, training and resources, in particular for those who by virtue of their age or social or economic circumstances would not otherwise have access to Information Technology. In furtherance of these purposes the charity will: 4.3 support, educate and provide work skills to individuals with learning difficulties to choose, gain and maintain an optimal quality of life marked by independence, a valued role in life and a connection with their community; 4.4 engage with local communities to raise awareness and promote understanding of employability of people with learning difficulties 4.5 engage with local communities to raise awareness and promote understanding of recycling and the carbon footprint 4.6 provide services to enhance digital inclusion and overall quality of life of every individual in our community 4.7 demonstrate leadership in policy development, advocacy and social change to address the needs of the community. 5 The 'Area of Benefit ' within which the organisation shall operate is East Ayrshire, Scotland 6 The organisation shall promote (but not promote exclusively) its activities and delivery operations to people within the ‘Area of Benefit’ who are Adults with learning difficulties as well as people who find themselves at a disadvantage from digital inclusion. Those people mentioned above will be the organisation’s beneficiaries.

Charity accounts and constitution – what information do we publish?

From April 2016 we began to publish charities’ accounts, initially for those charities with an annual income of £25,000 or more, and for all SCIOs.

When a charity publishes its accounts on its website and has supplied us with a link, we have made this available. From late 2017, where the charity is a company, a registered social landlord or is also registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales, a link is provided to the relevant regulator’s website where the accounts are made available. We accept no responsibility for the functionality, accuracy, or content of external websites – if you experience a technical issue with an external link, you should contact the charity directly.

You have the right to the following information under section 23 (1)(a) and (b) of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005, from the charity direct:

  • a copy of the charity’s latest statement of accounts
  • a copy of the charity’s constitution.
