Object:
a) To implement the conditions of this Deed of Trust try the Trustees of Stronsay Public Hall dated 16th, 25th, 26th November 1953 and Registration 12 January 1954 in Sheriff Court, Kirkwall. b) To promote the benefit of the inhabitants of the island of STRONSAY without distinction of political, religious or other opinions, by associating the local authorities, voluntary organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure time / occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants. c) To secure the establishment of a community school/centre and other community facilities (hereinafter called "The Centre") and to co-operate with the local Statutory Authority in the maintenance and management of the Centre, for activities promoted by the Association and its constituent members in furtherance of the above objects or any of them. The Association shall be non-party in politics and non-sectarian in religion.

Charity accounts and constitution – what information do we publish?

From January 2026, OSCR will begin publishing annual reports and accounts in full online once they are received. This marks a change from the current approach, where OSCR publishes accounts for certain charities, depending on their legal form and income, with personal details redacted.

When a charity publishes its accounts on its website and has supplied us with a link, we have made this available. From late 2017, where the charity is a company, a registered social landlord or is also registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales, a link is provided to the relevant regulator’s website where the accounts are made available. We accept no responsibility for the functionality, accuracy, or content of external websites – if you experience a technical issue with an external link, you should contact the charity directly.

You have the right to the following information under section 23 (1)(a) and (b) of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005, from the charity direct:

  • a copy of the charity’s latest statement of accounts
  • a copy of the charity’s constitution.

In addition to the above, a charity may also be able to provide you with previous years’ accounts and constitutions, although it is not obliged to do so. You can contact the charity to request this information using the contact details on the charity’s Register entry.
