The Association is established for charitable objects and purposes only and in particular for the following purposes:- (1) To alleviate poverty and hardship amongst consumers of psychiatric and other related services and to promote their education, welfare and treatment and in particular but without prejudice to the foregoing generality, to promote throughout Lanarkshire and such other areas as the directors may determine from time to time ("the Operating Area") community based services for consumers of psychiatric and other related services and public awareness and understanding of mental health. All through the means of:- (i) providing that continued efforts are made by statutory and voluntary groups to spread information, knowledge and understanding about mental health; (ii) exploration of new ways of providing maximum help and support within the community for those in need of such services; (iii) encouraging and assisting the statutory bodies responsible for providing services in this field of mental health to meet the needs of the community;

From April 2016 we began to publish charities’ accounts, initially for those charities with an annual income of £25,000 or more, and for all SCIOs.

When a charity publishes its accounts on its website and has supplied us with a link, we have made this available. From late 2017, where the charity is a company, a registered social landlord or is also registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales, a link is provided to the relevant regulator’s website where the accounts are made available. We accept no responsibility for the functionality, accuracy, or content of external websites – if you experience a technical issue with an external link, you should contact the charity directly.

You have the right to the following information under section 23 (1)(a) and (b) of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005, from the charity direct:

  • a copy of the charity’s latest statement of accounts
  • a copy of the charity’s constitution.
