OSCR to hold open Board meeting

25 May 2018

The Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR) will hold its first open Board meeting on 12 June 2018.

The meeting will be held in Quadrant House, Dundee at 10:30am and will give attendees a chance to see our Board make decisions on OSCR’s direction of travel in the future.

This step is part of OSCR’s commitment to being as transparent as possible about its operations, and the majority of the Board’s discussions will take place during the open session. However, there will also be some confidential subjects, such as specific inquiry matters, discussed in private. Please view a copy of our Open Meeting Policy for further details.

If you are interested in attending the meeting please contact us first. You can do this by emailing info@oscr.org.uk and putting ‘Open Board meeting’ in the subject line. We will then send you further details. Due to the size of our board room, there is limited space available at these meetings. However, we will do our best to accommodate as many people as possible and there are a number of opportunities throughout the year.

Chair of the OSCR Board, the Very Revd Dr Graham Forbes CBE, said:

‘Our corporate values include transparency and having open Board meetings is another great way for OSCR to engage with its stakeholders. We have published minutes from our Board meetings for some time but we felt there was more we could do to share the Board’s collective thinking around our decisions.

‘We will make every effort to speak about as much as we can publicly, and look forward to discussing these matters in front of everyone who attends.’
