30 Nov 2017

In October of this year, our staff took part in the annual UK Civil Service People Survey. The survey looks at civil servants' attitudes to working in government departments

The Scottish Charity Regulator’s score for overall engagement has increased by 5% since last year (now 63%) and is very close to the Civil Service generally (61%).The response rate was 79% - which was above the Civil Service average (67%).

The key highlights are:

  • 90% of staff are positive overall about ‘Organisational Objectives and purpose’
  • 78% of staff are positive overall for ‘My Work’
  • 76% of staff are positive overall for ‘My Resources and workload’.

In some areas, OSCR had a lower score than the Civil Service average, mainly the responses on ‘My Team’ (75% positive); ‘Inclusion and fair treatment’ (73%) and ‘Learning and Development’ (48%).
