Scottish Charity Register

A valuable reference for members of the public, prospective donors and volunteers.

The Scottish Charity Register provides details about a charity. It also allows a charity to demonstrate to its stakeholders that it is registered and reporting on a regular basis to OSCR.

This page provides information for anyone who wants to check a charity's registration or key information about a charity including its contact details, geographical operation, charitable purposes and the submission of its Annual Return and accounts.

How to search the Scottish Charity Register

You can search for a charity by using:

the Scottish Charity Register number (SC0xxxxx)   Search
keyword(s) included in the charity name   Search
the local authority area   Search

The Advanced Search allows you to include additional criteria to the basic search. This includes information on income and charitable purposes.

The search facility provides automatic "wild card" searching, e.g. Robert will give Robert, Roberts and Robertson.

Visit the Scottish Charity Register at OSCR's main website to see additional lists such as ceased charities and defaulting charities.
