OSCR Conference 2008
27 August 2008
OSCR’s conference is to take place at the Carnoustie Golf Hotel and Spa on 3rd November 2008. Registration opens at 9.15am with the event starting at 10am.
More information about OSCR's conference, which is now fully booked, is available in the events section.
The OSCR Conference will see Scotland’s charity regulator reporting to the sector and the public on its work over the past 12 months; and its strategic and operational priorities for 2009. Delegates will also have the opportunity to raise questions face to face with OSCR’s Board and Senior Management Team.
In response to feedback at earlier conference events, OSCR has announced that a ‘breakout’ session will take place with delegates choosing from one of three subject areas:
- Trustee duties: key issues from the Rolling Review
- Management of charities: lessons learned from the One Plus case study
- Public and charity perspectives: findings from OSCR’s 2008 research and surveys.
OSCR's Chief Executive, Jane Ryder, said:
'We are committed to an ongoing dialogue with the sector and feel that it is important to report back to charity trustees and the public on our achievements and future priorities.'
Places have been allocated on a first come, first served basis and limited to two places per organisation. A waiting list will be maintained and any cancellations should be notified to OSCR at least one week before the event to allow delegates on the waiting list to attend.
The Carnoustie Golf Hotel and Spa provides car parking and is within walking distance of Carnoustie railway station. OSCR promotes public transport and delegates are advised to use bus or train services.
