OSCR is a Non-Ministerial Department, independent from Scottish Ministers and part of the Scottish Administration.  Read the framework agreement which establishes the relationship between OSCR and the Scottish Government and provides the overarching framework for policy and corporate engagement within which the two organisations operate.

Governance responsibilities for strategy and the future direction of OSCR rest with the Board. Corporate decision making that affects the day-to-day operations of the Regulator is delegated to the Senior Management Team, chaired by the Chief Executive of OSCR and consisting of:

  • Chief Executive
  • Head of Policy and Development
  • Head of Corporate Services
  • Head of Enquiry & Investigation
  • Head of Charity Services
