Environmental Management Policy

OSCR, as a Non Ministerial Department, is committed to supporting the Scottish Government's policy on sustainable development.  We aim to improve environmental performance within our organisation by establishing an Environmental Management Policy system. This requires OSCR to produce suitable targets for our organisation as a whole and for individual members of staff to become involved.

Over 2008-2009 OSCR plans to gather information which will enable us to set objectives and targets in areas including energy consumption and waste management. We will also put procedures in place to monitor these areas in order to improve environmental performance and staff awareness. The policy covers the period 01/02/2008 to 31/01/2009, with targets/objectives being reviewed by OSCR on a quarterly basis.
