In order to be helpful, OSCR is publishing a list of organisations which no
longer have charitable status. These organisations are no longer charities and
therefore not on the Scottish Charity Register.
Prior to 1 April 2006, charities were granted charitable status by Her Majesty's
Revenue and Customs (HMRC). HMRC were also responsible for keeping a record of
charities who had been removed from their index of charities.
From 24 April 2006, the responsibility for keeping an accurate Scottish Charity
Register passed to OSCR.
